Small Businesses to Get $10 Million in Free Advertising Support Under Facebook Marketing Solutions

Small businesses are ready to get big support from social networking giant. Facebook has reportedly working on a plan, dubbed as Facebook Marketing Solutions, to provide small businesses $10 million in free advertising.

Facebook Marketing Solutions: A Program to Support Small Businesses with $10 Million in Free Advertising

In early 2012, under this plan, Facebook will give at least $50 of free advertising on Facebook to each small business qualified. The small businesses to be benefited by this program will be chosen by the National Federation of Independent Business and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce over the next few months.

In addition to the free advertising support, Facebook also pledges open resources and information on how to market your business on Facebook. The company is sending its representatives to meet with small business owners in person.

Facebook has a self-service advertisement policy which supports small advertisers more than large ones. Since 64% of small businesses believe social media is needless; therefore, the program is all about spreading knowledge. The company followed almost same strategy to encourage the advertising industry in April this year with Facebook Studio, which also offers free resources, although there’s no free advertising factor.
