Worth Millions' Indian Executives - - Toshiaki Nakagawa of Hero Honda Earned Rs 19 Crore

Recession is officially over. India has declared itself out of the economic turmoil, and now seem to be going stable. The big guys are back in action, their positions and wealth both seems well in place. They sit at the top, make moves which can make or break the company and steer through tough times like we recently witnessed across the globe. In return take home million dollar cheques.

Recently a research was conducted by the leading Indian newspaper, The Times of India in collaboration with EMA Partners International, Balance sheets were assessed, list was prepared and some very interesting facts came up. 125 executives comprising of both promoters and professionals minted more than a million dollar last year in 2008-09. Well these are just the listed ones. Because there are 75 million dollar executives in the unlisted category. So India has 200 of such executives in total. The gap between Indian companies and MNCs seem to be diminishing every passing year. No doubt India seems to be picking up, and moving towards becoming a wealthier economy.

Moreover, in the search, the richest promoter came out to be Anil Ambani of ADAG drawing 52 crore every year. And the wealthiest professional is Toshiaki Nakagawa of Hero Honda, who earned Rs 19 crore, driving onto the two wheeler market in India. Post looking at hundreds of executives already minting money in the Indian corporate sector, and economy opening up further it’s likely that there will be hundred more very soon.
