During an event in San Francisco, U.S., Microsoft released a fully online version of the Office suite. The new service, called the Office 365, will be available in limited edition for testing from this Tuesday (19), in 13 countries and regions. But sales and signatures will only be started from next year.
With this news, people can work from anywhere and on virtually any device, as the Office 365 will be based on cloud computing – the ability to store and share programs and files remotely – and will add the functions of the Office 2010 programs, Exchange , Sharepoint and Lync.
The company says the new version is for companies of any size. Is a technology built for big companies becoming affordable for smaller companies.
Companies with up to 25 employees can buy a package deal that includes its own Office applications, email synchronization and Lync, for $ 6 a month per user. The companies will have more plan options ranging from $ 2 to $ 27 a month per employee.
Microsoft’s creations are emerging as a way to counter Google, which has had great success in their application packages based on the Internet and available at low cost.
